How to remove Compaq Presario 2500 Optical Drive

It is not difficult to change the optical drive (i.e. DVD or CD ROM drive) of the Compaq Presario 2500 Notebook computer. All you need just some hands on experience to do it and more practice makes perfect. The advantage of doing it yourself, it save money and get rid of the fear from dishonest IT technician who likes to steal computer parts. At the same time you learn the basic computer hardware maintenance skill that might be useful to yourself.

Tool you need:

2 x Pieces of Flat Head screwdrivers
1 x Piece of Philips head screwdriver

How to do it:

1. Use Philips screwdriver to open the rail screw from the rear
2. Use two Flat head screw driver to remove the rail
3. Open the keyboard screws and remove the Keyboard
4. Remove the DVD/CD Drive screws
5.

Push the DVD/CD Drive out of the compartments
6. Done!!
